Celebration of World Book Day

World Book day celebrations at Kingshott lasted several days, before culminating with 'Come as a Character day'.

Last Friday, we were visited by Donavan Christopher, aka Rappaman. He is a rap poet and cultural reggae artist. Through R.A.P. (Respect All People) Poetry, Donavan facilitates a safe and intellectually challenging environment, encouraging students to think about their own views and opinions about important social issues, such as respect of self and others, tolerance, cultural diversity, and bullying. Donavan worked with pupils from Years Five to Eight. The children created and performed raps.

On Thursday 10th March, Mrs Turner, mum to Anna and Harry, worked with pupils from Years Three and Four. Mrs Turner has written several Kindle books under the pen name Judith Grimshaw. She helped the children plan stories using a variety of objects for inspiration.
