Science is fun

Science week offered the perfect opportunity for our pupils to be involved in lots of activities. Most classes from Year 3 to Year 7 have taken part in a Science Challenge, including the Leaning Tower of Pasta, the Biscuit Drop, the Paddleboat Junk (or is it the Junk Paddleboat) and the Balloon-Powered Buggy. Last Tuesday we welcomed Zoolab, whose presenter, Briony Edwards gave an introductory assembly for the Middle and Senior schools, and then followed this with 45 minute presentations to each individual year group. Pupils were introduced to a Madagascan hissing cockroach, a pair of rather smelly rats, a ghost corn snake, a tarantula, a giant African land snail, an Amazon milk frog and a bearded dragon.
