A warm Scotish welcome for Year 6
The annual trip to Scotland for Year 6 left very early on Saturday 28 May. On arrival they were met by beautiful warm sunshine! This would be the case all week. The children were thrown in at the deep end on arrival (literally), and all donned their wet suits for a bracing swim in the Loch! The week was filled with fire making, shelter building and
general survival skills. All this would prepare the children for their night under the stars on Survival Island, They also did some raft building, and rock climbing was a great hit. All managed to climb Ben Stack, a mountain which rose high into the sky near the Adventure School. This was a great achievement, and all the children worked well in
their teams to help each other and keep each other going. The week was once again a real success, and the children were very well behaved and learnt a lot about themselves. They should be very proud of their achievements, and how they all pulled together in their different groups.
