Kingshott School Launches School Flying Club in Partnership with British Young Pilots
Kingshott School has announced the launch of an exciting new Flying Club in partnership with British Young Pilots (BYP), providing pupils with a unique opportunity to learn aviation skills and work towards real-world flying qualifications.
The innovative co-curricular programme is designed to inspire the next generation of aviators while strengthening students' understanding of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through weekly sessions led by qualified BYP flying instructors, pupils will gain practical experience using desktop flight simulators alongside classroom-based learning covering topics such as physics, meteorology, navigation and aircraft engineering.
As part of the programme, students will also have the opportunity each term to fly a real aircraft, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a genuine aviation environment. The initiative provides a rare chance for young people to experience flight training from an early age while building confidence, resilience and problem-solving skills.
From GCSEs to the cockpit: leave Kingshott at 16 with 10 GCSEs and a Pilot's Licence.
