Admissions Process
Meet Gillian Payne, our Admissions Manager. We are a friendly and welcoming community. We understand that considering and then joining a new school can sometimes feel a little daunting - for both children and their parents.
Choosing the right school is one of the most significant decisions you’ll make with your child, but it’s rarely a purely logical one.
At Kingshott, we believe it helps to start with people. From your first enquiry to your child’s first day at school, our Admissions Team is here to guide you every step of the way.
We understand that every family’s journey is unique, and we take time to get to know you.
Families are encouraged to contact Gill at admissions@kingshottschool.com or 01462 432009 to:
- Visit us on an open day or arrange a private tour
- Speak with Gill to ask questions and explore options
- Submit an Admissions Enquiry Form when you are ready
- Our goal is always the same: to help you decide whether Kingshott is the right place for your child to thrive
Choosing a school is a very personal decision, not a technical one. We prefer to begin with a conversation to help us understand what matters most to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Children can join our Nursery from age 3+, with main entry points in Autumn and Spring. We understand that every family’s needs are different, so we are also able to offer a Summer start, subject to availability of places.
To help every child settle in happily and confidently, we provide a three-session staggered start for all new Nursery pupils. This gentle introduction allows children to become familiar with their new environment, routines and staff at a pace that suits them.
In addition, we offer a ‘Stay and Play’ transition morning for families joining in Autumn and Spring. This is a lovely opportunity for children (and parents) to experience the setting, meet staff and begin to feel at home in our Nursery.
We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, supportive environment where every child feels welcomed and valued from the very beginning. If you have any further questions, we would be very happy to hear from you.
