The Kingshott Association (also called the KA) is a flourishing parents association, which is open to all Kingshott parents. The day to day running of the Association is in the hands of a committee which is elected at our Annual General Meeting held in the first half of each Autumn Term. The KA is a member of the "PTA Organisation" which is a national charity supporting Parent Associations. We use their current constitution to govern our group; we are also a registered charity. At present, the committee is being led by Chair, Nicky Craven, the Treasurer is Terry Branston and the Secretary is Melanie Forsyth- all current parents at the school.
The KA exists to develop relationships between staff, parents and children of the school by organising events throughout the school year. Any additional funds raised from these events are then used to assist in the provision of facilities or items to further the education of our children at the school. The Kingshott Club, which is paid via the school bill on a termly basis, also helps support these events whilst entering families into a termly and yearly prize draw.
Our Kingshott Association Events for 2018 include:
Children's Disco Feb 2018
Quiz Night 11th May 2018
Summer Ball 7th July 2018
- Family Fireworks Friday 9th November 2018
- Christmas Fair in late November 2018
In recent years KA purchases included:
- Wall Art for the Robinson building
- Microphones for the Drama department
- Willow Arch for the Pre-Prep
- Benches for the grounds
- Equipment for Food Technology
- Outdoor Classroom
- Nursery play equipment
We also contribute each year to Enrichment week for the children and provide lifeguards for the school pool so it is available over the Summer Holidays.
The KA is run completely by parent volunteers, with meetings attended by the Headmaster, teachers and parents.
The KA is always looking for new and existing parents to join or come forward with ideas for events and fundraising.
The Kingshott Association is a registered Charity (Number 1150666).
