Our expanded Senior Leadership Team

New leadership team at Kingshott SchoolWe are delighted to start the new academic year at Kingshott with an expanded Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Kingshott.  We warmly welcome two Assistant Heads to the SLT; with Mrs Annabel Bradford being responsible for the Academic and Pastoral development of pupils in Years 1-4 and Mrs Katie Yates responsible for these areas in Years 5-8.

Our expanded leadership team recognises the talents from within our staff body as both Mrs Bradford and Mrs Yates have been at Kingshott for a number of years already. As well as their long term experience at Kingshott, they also bring with them a wealth of knowledge from their previous roles and prior education:

After graduating from the University of Cambridge, Mrs Bradford completed her PGCE (Primary) at Homerton College. She has worked across the primary age range in both the state and independent sectors and is about to complete her NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) with UCL.

Mrs Yates studied History, graduating from the University of Nottingham. She then undertook a Graduate Teacher Programme with Cambridge University and Saffron Walden County High. She has also taught in Japan for 18 months.

Mrs Yates will also be working with the SLT to shape the vision of our GCSE offering, alongside many other members of staff, with additional external expertise.

Expanded leadership team at Kingshott SchoolMrs Garofalo, who joined Kingshott last year with over 25 years educational experience, is now Deputy Head, and will be supporting both Mrs Bradford and Mrs Yates in the pursuit of excellence both inside and beyond the classroom at Kingshott.

“ I am delighted to be further expanding and strengthening the School's leadership,” says Head of Kingshott, Mr David Weston. “As we move towards offering GCSEs at Kingshott, we are focusing on developing and improving our 'Excellent' ISI-rated education even further - for all children from EYFS through to our oldest year groups.  Adding more knowledge, skills and experience onto our Senior Leadership Team will enable us to further develop all aspects of our curriculum throughout both the Prep and Senior school to be creative and intellectually ambitious, and our extra-curricular offering to be even wider and more engaging."
