A culmination of Art at Kingshott

Each year Kingshott hosts an annual Art and Design Exhibition for families to enjoy the wonderful work the pupils have been creating over the past year.

"Art is incredibly strong at Kingshott," says Kingshott's Head, David Weston. "The depth and breadth of Art that all of our students take part in, from the Nursery all the way through to our oldest year groups, is impressive. The Art and Design departments are incredilby inspiring - which was definitely 'on show' at the exhibition!"

Held near the end of term, the exhibition was a great success with pupils proudly showing off their work to their friends and family.  The pupils have been working hard all year completing some fantastic work, and the displays looked superb.

The artwork included:

  • Nursery to Year 2 exhibited a range of pieces demonstrating work completed throughout the year.
  • Year 3 showcased their clay birds, and mixed media birds, sweet paintings, and  textured sunflowers.
  • Year 4 displayed their mixed media collaged owls and clay water lilies.
  • Year 5 exhibited cactus paintings and clay cacti, as well as Aboriginal boomerangs, and Craoyla crayon sculptures.
  • Year 6 showcased their animal canvases, clay gargoyles and mixed media buildings
  • Year 7 displayed their Gaudi inspired buildings and leaf lino prints
  • Year 8 exhibited their Clay shoes

There was also a range of DT work showing work in progress from this year.
