Easter Reading Challenge
We enjoyed a wonderful celebration assembly, where all the children who completed the English department’s Easter Reading Challenge were awarded with a certificate and their prizes. Those children who read three books over the Easter break, were the lucky recipients of five ‘frog passes’ so that they can ‘jump’ the dinner queue! There were also small prizes for children who read one or two books.
Well done to all those children in years 3-8 who participated in the challenge. Reading for pleasure is the best thing that anyone can do to help their learning, and as English teachers, we can always tell who reads and who doesn’t! A very special congratulations to 4G who were the top readers in the prep school: a fantastic thirteen of them completed the challenge (pictured).
