

Mr David Weston
Head | Qualifications BA (Hons), QTS
David was educated at St Columba’s College in St Albans before studying English and Sociology at Oxford Brookes University. He trained to teach through a Teaching Alliance in North Bedfordshire. He began his career at Lordship Farm School, then moved to London to teach at St Joseph’s in Rotherhithe. There he quickly progressed into senior leadership, working as SENCo before becoming Deputy Head in 2016.
Outside school, David is a keen runner and sits on the committee of a local running club. Having previously played rugby, he now enjoys supporting from the sidelines.
David believes that when children feel happy, safe and secure, they thrive. He’s passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where every child can enjoy learning and do their very best.
Mrs Clare Garofalo
Head of Juniors | Qualifications BA Hons, QTS, NPQH
Clare brings over 25 years of experience in education. She previously led St Joseph’s Primary in Rotherhithe, London, serving as Deputy Head for 11 years before becoming Headteacher for six.
Earlier in her career, Clare was part of the senior leadership team at St John’s Primary in Gravesend, where she was Head of Assessment, and has also worked at St Joseph’s Convent Prep School and St Joseph’s Primary, Northfleet.


Mrs Annabel Bradford
Deputy Head of Juniors | Qualifications MA (Cantab), QTS, NPQSL
Annabel studied Classics and History of Art at the University of Cambridge, and then completed her PGCE (Primary) at Homerton College. She has worked across the primary age range in both the state and independent sectors before joining Kingshott in 2019.
Annabel recently completed her NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) with UCL. She is a keen musician and performs regularly in Cambridge and beyond. She has two sons who have both attended Kingshott.
Ms Lisa Dawes
Deputy Head Academic - Senior | Qualifications BSc Hons, PGCE, NPQSL
Lisa brings over 24 years of experience in senior education, having dedicated her career to enriching the lives of students. She pursued her studies at King Alfred's College in Winchester, with a year spent in Wisconsin, before completing her PGCE (Senior Education) at Brunel University. Lisa completed her NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) before spending two years as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at her previous school. Outside of work, Lisa is a passionate sportswoman who enjoys playing hockey and tennis.


Mrs Anna Leman

Mrs Rhian Burrows
Designated Safeguarding Lead, Attendance Champion and Examinations Officer
Rhian joined Kingshott in 2017 and she holds the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead. Prior to Kingshott, Rhian worked with children of all ages from nursery to secondary, and also with high risk and vulnerable children, including those with physical and neurological disabilities. Her previous roles required provision in all areas of support, including wellbeing and pastoral.
Rhian has counselling experience and has completed her level 2 counselling qualification; she is also the Mental Health lead for the school under MHFA England. She has recently completed a PGCert in Safeguarding Practice with Lincoln University, passing with Distinction.
