Leadership, Belonging and Team Spirit
Pupil leadership and participation are central to daily life, giving every child the chance to build confidence, responsibility and a sense of belonging. Parents often ask how their child can take on leadership roles, and the answer is through a wide range of accessible opportunities. From key positions such as Head Student and Deputy Head Student, who represent the school and lead by example, to our inclusive House System, pupils collaborate across year groups and develop strong team spirit. As one pupil shares, “Being part of the House system helped me make friends and gave me the confidence to try new things.”
Pupil Voice, Leadership and Impact
Parents also value knowing their child’s voice is heard. Our Pupil Voice and School Council ensure pupils can share ideas, influence decisions and take part in real change within the school. “It feels great knowing our ideas actually make a difference,” says a School Council member.
For those interested in global awareness, our UNICEF Ambassadors and Eco Ambassadors (ECO team) lead initiatives around sustainability and social responsibility, from fundraising to environmental projects. “As an Eco Ambassador, I learned how small changes can make a big difference,” reflects a pupil.
We also offer regular charitable opportunities, with pupil-led fundraising and awareness campaigns supporting local and national causes. Alongside this, our broad co-curricular programme including clubs, trips and enrichment activities encourages pupils to take initiative beyond the classroom.
Leadership is further developed through academic endeavours, where pupils mentor peers, lead discussions and represent the school in competitions. As one pupil notes, “Helping younger students has really built my confidence.”
