Virtual Remembrance 2020

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

Today, like many others, we had to change the way that we usually observe Remembrance Day. Mr Weston led the occasion with a reading and then two minutes silence followed by The Last Post played by one of our Year 6 boys on the euphonium. A wreath was then laid under the Wellingtonia with prayers being said and additional readings by our three school leaders. Mrs Payne filmed the ceremony which was live streamed to all the classrooms enabling the whole school to feel part of the occasion.

Year 5 drew some poppies and thought about the significance of today in their PSHE lesson this morning.
