Wraparound care

We know that working parents often find it difficult to juggle work and the school day.  In an attempt to help, Kingshott provides wraparound care, before school from 7.30am, and after school until 6.00pm.

Pupils can join us for Breakfast Club to enjoy a relaxed and sociable start to their school day. We provide a nourishing and healthy breakfast, which we all eat together in our dining room.

Breakfast Club is run by our own members of highly qualified school staff, who know each child personally and can provide a supportive start before a busy day of learning!


After School cover, clubs and care

Families with siblings in the school with different pick-up times can benefit from our free ‘Sibling Supervision’ cover until 4pm. Parents can book this on an adhoc basis, or make termly arrangements. 

All pupils can choose to take part in our range of after school clubs and activities, or the older pupils Older pupils (in Year 3 upwards) can attend our supervised homework session ('Prep').

Wraparound Care at Kingshott School in Hitchin HertfordshireAfter School Care is also available after the school day ends or after our clubs. It runs until 6pm. Pupils can enjoy playing outdoors or taking part in games with their friends. Alternatively they can choose to have some quiet time relaxing with a book, or having some ‘downtime’ by watching a DVD.  Our After School Care is run by our own members of highly qualified school staff.

A light tea is provided every day at circa 4pm, for those children who are staying for activities, prep or after school club. Examples of food the children enjoy includes sandwiches with a choice of different fillings each day, homemade cakes, flapjacks and biscuits, along with a choice of fresh fruit.


Holiday cover and clubs

Supercamps logo 2021SuperCamps run fun-filled multi-activity holiday camps throughout the year at Kingshott. Activities include sports, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts. All Kingshott parents are offered preferential booking rates.

Holiday camps take place during all school holidays: February, May and October half term, and during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. Camps are run from 9am-5pm, with extended hours (from 8am and up to 6pm) available as an optional extra.
