Our Nursery Facilities
Kingshott Nursery is housed in its own wonderfully welcoming, purpose-built building.
The nursery is a bright, colourful environment with plenty of space for children to learn through carefully planned adult-led and child-initiated activities.
There are two separate, spacious areas inside the nursery—one designed for child-initiated activities, and a separate classroom area that provides space for joint learning experiences (such as the introduction of phonics) on our interactive whiteboard. This is also the area that our specialist teachers (e.g., Languages) use when they visit the nursery to deliver weekly sessions.
The nursery has its own secure outdoor play area, complete with a nature garden and pirate ship. Children also benefit from access to the school’s outdoor classrooms, nature area, and extensive grounds, further enriching their learning experiences.
In addition to their own facilities, nursery children have access to all of the school’s other resources. This includes the dining room, where they have lunch every day, as well as sports facilities, playing fields, and the swimming pool.
The nursery building is situated next to the Rowan building, which houses our Junior School children from Reception upwards. This proximity enables our pupils to make a comfortable and smooth transition into Reception, as they share EYFS spaces.
