UNICEF ambassadors help Pre-Prep to celebrate uniqueness and diversity

On Tuesday the Pre Prep Rowan Hall was buzzing with activity - exploring how wonderfully diverse we are at Kingshott.

Our UNICEF pupil ambassadors led a fun filled workshop of activities that enabled the Pre-Prep children to learn more about what makes them unique and how we can celebrate their uniqueness.

The pupils created ‘paper dolls’ of themselves which will be displayed in the Pre Prep entrance. The UNICEF ambassadors also assisted the children in filming short clips about what makes them unique. In addition to the workshop, dozens of new books have been purchased for the Pre-Prep children - which focus on themes that celebrate uniqueness, children’s rights, kindness and friendship.

Kingshott is a proud advocate of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and is in the process of collecting evidence for a Gold award of recognition. The children all learn about the rights of the child and discuss how this links to equality, diversity and inclusion across the globe. The UNICEF committee are active participants as ambassadors for UNICEF within the school. To find out more about about Kingshott School and our UNICEF Ambassadors, just click here.
