  • Leading the Committee
  • Ensuring smooth running of Committee meetings; including preparation of any documentation required in liaison with Secretary
  • Acting as figurehead or spokesperson as required
  • Key contact in relationship with school
  • Providing support at all events throughout the calendar year



  • Taking minutes at meetings
  • Applying for licenses
  • Ensuring all documentation etc. is filed, and accessible
  • Collating documentation for each event for information for future years (managing Event Planning Spreadsheet for each event)



  • Preparation of Newsletters
  • Creation of posters advertising events
  • Updating KA page on School Website
  • Managing social media
  • Liaising with Ginny/Sarah to advertise events and send information out to parents
  • Managing the relationship with parents, so that we are advertising events/meetings to the best of our ability to maximise engagement



  • Keep an account of all income & expenditure
  • Prepare annual accounts to be filed with the Charities Commission
  • Ensure all records with Charities Commission are kept up to date
  • Responsibility for cash floats, and provision and maintenance of Sum Up machines 



  • As a committee member you will get to vote and bring ideas to the table for all the fun events we do for the children and families at school
  • You will need to lead one of the events: brainstorm ideas for the event with the team, make a plan and organise the day
  • Come to the meetings (one meeting per half term on a day/time that works for all)



  • We are always looking for more volunteers to help out at our events throughout  the year. You can sign up to be on the KA volunteers WhattsApp group and come and help at as many events as you would like. This could be anything from an hour of your time supervising to helping out with set up and clear away. 
  • It’s a great way to meet other parents from school and you get to see how we do things.
