'Born Free' Cake Sale
Last Friday after school the playground was buzzing with children, parents and staff at the Cake Sale for Born Free, the school’s charity this year. We raised £170.18. There was a delicious array of cakes of all shapes and sizes and other delicious sweet treats. Some of the cakes challenged the staff in how to cut them and it really was a shame to destroy the marvellous cakes. These had been made by children, staff and parents. While many had come in from home, some of the older children had been producing the cakes and biscuits in their Food Technology lessons. There are clearly lots of budding Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry’s within our school community! Thanks go to everyone who contributed towards the sale, the year 8s and staff who helped with the selling and Miss Roberts for organising the event.
