Pre-Prep Well being week
Pre-Prep have had a Wellbeing focus this week. The children have taken part in a variety of activities to help them understand how they can promote their own physical and mental health. Classes have read books outside, had regular water breaks and completed some mindfulness colouring. Pre-Prep attended the whole school SHEEP Assembly on Monday. PHASE, a Hitchin based charity for young people came to the Pre-Prep Assembly on Wednesday, and talked about ways to be resilient and healthy.
Mrs Barrett’s weekly assembly was based on coping with change and valuing things that make you happy; including an motivational dance which everyone joined in with. On Thursday, all the children had a yoga session lead by Helen from The Letchworth Centre of Healthy Living. This week, Miss Dickens has worked with the children on activities to build self-esteem and positive thinking. We ended the week with a picnic lunch today and Year 2 went on their end of Pre-Prep trip.
