Welcome back for an exciting and 'Excellent' year of education at Kingshott!

Kingshott School in Hitchin is delighted to be back to schoolWe are delighted to be welcoming both new and returning families back to Kingshott this week for the start of a new academic year!

It is wonderful to see pupils enjoying their first days of school - seeing and playing with old friends, as well as making new friends too.  Whilst our newest pupils joining into Nursery and Reception classes are busy finding their feet and enjoying their first few days in their new classrooms, our older children are already busy engaging with and enjoying all that Kingshott has to offer.

Teachers and staff have already been 'back to school' for a little while - getting ready for the term and year ahead. They have been taking part in discussions and training sessions - all focused on how Kingshott will ‘move beyond excellence’ as we continue to reflect upon our 'Excellent' ISI report and how we, as a school community, want to further build upon our many strengths.

"Moving forward this year, my aim is that Kingshott should be even more ambitious in all that we do and offer - both in and outside of the classroom," says Head, David Weston. "We are delighted that the inspectors rated Kingshott as 'Excellent' - but we are looking to develop even further over the coming weeks, months and terms ahead."

We look forward to keeping current and prospective families up-to-date on how we are progressing in our endeavours to ‘move beyond excellence’, and to celebrate some of the many exciting activities and developments that are happening at Kingshott.
