Over 100 children make music

Over a hundred children took part in the Senior and Middle School Orchestral and Ensembles concert. Nine orchestras and bands performed in total, and the standard was impressive, especially for such youngsters. The choice of music ranged from Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James Bond to Men of Harlech, and a Sixteenth Century Processional Dance. Performances were given by Ensembles of Clarinets, Flutes, Saxophones, Recorders, Brass and Strings, as well as the full Orchestra and Concert Band. Thanks and hearty congratulations to all who took part – they should be extremely proud of their achievements! Our student on work experience, Emily, performed in several groups and also one of the South African pupils Rachel, visiting from St George's Prep School Port Elizabeth, played violin superbly.
