The KA

THE COMMITTEE:

The KA (Kingshott Association) is a flourishing Parents Association, which is open to all Kingshott parents. The day to day running of the Association is in the hands of a committee which is elected at our Annual General Meeting held in the first half of each Autumn Term. The KA is a member of the "PTA Organisation" which is a national charity supporting Parent Associations. We use their current constitution to govern our group; we are also a registered charity.

Our new KA committee structure is:

President - David Weston

Co-Chairs - Emily Ramnarain & Clare Atack

Treasurer - Melissa Benson

Co-Secretary - Sam Shaw & Rebecca Eatock-Hubble

Advertising & Marketing - Alessio Brotto

The KA exists to develop relationships between staff, parents and children of the school by organising events throughout the school year. Any additional funds raised from these events are then used to assist in the provision of facilities or items for education at the school, as the committee, in agreement with the school, may determine. The termly subs paid also help support these events.

OUR PROJECTS:

Our most recent project, which we are very proud of is …

Common room 1The Year 7 & 8 Common Room

This was an exciting project requested by the children themselves, to breathe new life into their Common Room. The KA were happy to provide the children with funds for this project, and they were given the freedom to design a room that fit their needs. Please see below some pictures of the results of their hard work.

We also contribute each year to Enrichment week for the children, as well as paying to provide lifeguards for the school pool so it is available over the summer holidays.

The KA is managed entirely by parent volunteers, with meetings attended by the teachers and parents.

The KA is always looking for new and existing parents to join or come forward with ideas for events and fundraising, so please do get in touch if you are interested.

Contact us for more details of how you can help or come along to one of the meetings. Email: kingshottka@hotmail.co.uk

The Kingshott Association is a registered Charity (Number 1150666).
