The Kingshott Association (The KA)

The Kingshott Association (KA) is our Parents Association. We are a registered charity (charity number 1150666) made up of a team of volunteer parents and teachers whose purpose is to enrich our school community through events that everyone can enjoy – parents, teachers, and our children.

Our aim is to make our events accessible, inclusive, and fun to help build and support our thriving school community. As well as raising money for charity at these events, any additional funds raised are able to go back into the school to help provide additional facilities or items for further enrichment.

We have achieved some brilliant things in 22/23 with the support of parents, teachers, volunteers, and our children. A heartfelt ‘thank you’ goes out to you all. Some of the highlights include:

  • Raising over £10,000 for Garden House Hospice Care
  • Hosting our biggest attended fireworks night yet
  • Bringing new games to the children’s playgrounds
  • Providing supplies to continue our support of the eco-garden.

Whether you’ve got a fun idea for a new event, you’d like to get involved or you’d like to find out more, please get in touch: KingshottKA@hotmail.co.uk

Recent KA events and activities

A magical Christmas Fair - December 2023

A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated a present for The Salvation Army collection at the Christmas Fair. Your generosity meant we had several boxes of presents we were able to donate to help the 400+ families The Salvation Army has in need this year. They asked us to pass on their sincere thanks to you all! It was a magical event, kicking off the festive season for us all!

A spectacular Fireworks Night, November 2023

Congratulations to our 2023 Firework poster competition winners who were picked by Mr Weston and the Senior Leadership Team from a fantastic selection of entries from across the school:

As our first-place winner ignited the fireworks, kicking off our 2023 fireworks display with a blast! Thank you to everyone that joined us and made it a really fun night.

Supporting Garden House Hospice Care, October 2023

A big thank you to all the parents, pupils, teachers and supporters who contributed to the May Ball auction and Sports Day raffle, resulting in a remarkable total donation of £8,725 to Garden House Hospice Care. The cheque was officially presented at one of their Letchworth stores, and will help them continue to provide free, compassionate care and support to patients and their families. The photograph shows the culmination of everyone's wonderful fundraising efforts when former Treasurer for the Kingshott Association, Melissa Benson, presented a cheque to Jean Allinson, Relationship Fundraising Manager at Garden House Hospice Care.
