The KA

The KA (Kingshott Association) is a flourishing parents association, which is open to all Kingshott parents. The day to day running of the Association is in the hands of a committee which is elected at our Annual General Meeting held in the first half of each Autumn Term. The KA is a member of the "PTA Organisation" which is a national charity supporting Parent Associations. We use their current constitution to govern our group; we are also a registered charity.

At present, the committee is being led by Chair, Patti Rio Green, Treasurer Nipun Gupta, and Secretary, Sarah Banks.

The KA exists to develop relationships between staff, parents and children of the school by organising events throughout the school year. Any additional funds raised from these events are then used to assist in the provision of facilities or items for education at the school, as the committee, in agreement with the school, may determine. The termly subs paid also help support these events.

Our KA Events for 2020 include:

Prep School Disco 7th February 2020
Quiz Night 6th March 2020
Easter Egg Hunt 21st March 2020
*NEW*  Outdoor Cinema Event 13th June 2020
Summer Ball  4th July 2020
*NEW* Tea & Tears for New Parents 11th September 2020

We are currently fundraising for two exciting projects:

New Playgroup Equipment to include outdoor table tennis, table football, chess & draughts, and new lines on the playground for both the Prep and the Pre-Prep.

Eco Garden Project, this is an exciting new project to create an eco garden in the school grounds. This will be a combined effort between the KA, the school and parents of pupils. We will shortly be breaking ground on Phase 1 of the project, which is to create the path and framework for what’s to come. Monies raised from our Fireworks Night and Christmas Fayre will be put towards Phase 2, which should hopefully begin in the Spring and will include installing sheds for all the tools the children will be using, creating the raised beds and starting the planting.

Eco Garden Plan

We also contribute each year to Enrichment week for the children and provide lifeguards for the school pool so it is available over the Summer Holidays.

The KA is run completely by parent volunteers, with meetings attended by the Headmaster, teachers and parents.

The KA is always looking for new and existing parents to join or come forward with ideas for events and fundraising.
