Cooking up a storm!

Pupils in Years 5-8 at Kingshott have been 'cooking up a storm' in the Food Technology room this term!

This is the first time Year 5 have enjoyed Food Technology classes in our specialist Food Technology room. So far they have been learning how to chop properly using the bridge and claw grip. They practised this by making seasonal fruit salad, soup, and a vegetable salad cous cous. 

Year 6 have been learning how to start the day healthily by making (and eating) homemade granola with fruit smoothies.

Year 7 impressed all the visitors to our open morning with their amazing apple strudel. Their cooking also enticed a good number of staff and other pupils to the Food Technology room too - thanks to the delicious aromas!

Year 8 are currently stretching their culinary skills by cooking recipes from around the world. They particularly enjoyed making (and eating!) Char Sui pork fillet chow mein. 

We are all looking forward to another productive (and delicious!) half term in the Food Technology room.
