Joining a charitable foundation, the Mill Hill Education Group

Delighted to annouce Kingshott is joining forces with a charitable foundation, the Mill Hill Education GroupWe are delighted to announce that we are joining forces with a charitable foundation, the Mill Hill Education Group.

“This proactive initiative will enable us to action our ambitious goals over the years ahead,” says Headmaster David Weston. “It is a future-facing decision taken during a time of strength, when we have waiting lists across many year groups, both now and for the next academic year.”

Over the last 90 years Kingshott has looked to the future, with our pupils’ best interests fixed firmly in mind. This can be seen in our early move to co-education, our extensive building programme, and our recent move to offer GCSEs. Joining the Mill Hill Education Group will enable Kingshott to fully realise all our future ambitions whilst retaining our caring family atmosphere and our strong educational values.

The Mill Hill Education Group is a charitable foundation of independent schools which now comprises nine schools, including Kingshott. Its aims of instilling values and inspiring minds has been a key focus since the founding of Mill Hill School in 1807. Over the last three years four other schools have joined the Group: most recently, in 2023, St. Joseph’s In The Park (Hertford), in 2022 both Lyonsdown School and Keble Prep (North London), and in 2021, Cobham Hall (Kent).

“We are delighted to welcome the Kingshott community into our family of schools,” says Antony Spencer, CEO, Mill Hill Education Group.  “As I have got to know Kingshott, it has become clear that we are aligned in our educational ethos, our strong values and ambitions, and our warm, family-focused atmosphere. Our unremitting focus is to provide the best possible education for our pupils, and we believe this works best through an effective partnership of shared knowledge, ideas and resources. We look forward to working together with Kingshott over the coming weeks, months and years ahead to see the school continue to thrive, and to realise its successful transition to offering GCSEs.”

Both logos XDavid concludes, “we are excited to begin benefiting from all the enrichments, enhancements and efficiencies that being part of the Mill Hill Education Group offers.  Our staff are looking forward to working collaboratively with colleagues from across the group to establish opportunities that will further enrich and enhance Kingshott’s ‘excellent’ education for all our current and future pupils.”
