Values and culture
School life is about learning. At Kingshott, learning is more than simply an accumulation of information and facts. If that were so, school would be boring and life at Kingshott is anything but boring! It is exciting, it is varied and it is fun. We are focused on the 5 R’s initiative - Ready, Resilient, Reflective, Reasoned and Responsible – we want our children to be happy and achieve their potential; to be ‘the best they can be’.
Year on year, Kingshott continues to make major improvements to its facilities, embracing the idea that innovation and tradition go hand in hand. Most recently, we opened a multimillion pound Sports and Drama Hall to ensure that taking part in our varied Games and P.E. curriculum and our exciting performing arts programme, is an even more challenging and engaging experience. This was preceded by a modern, state of the art teaching block which offers a sizeable, bright and airy Art room, a dedicated Music room, Drama studio, Food Technology room, Science laboratory and nine teaching class rooms.
Not wanting to stand still and let the grass grow under our feet, which would be easy within our 23 acres of outdoor space, we are now planning the next development. All of our building projects reaffirm the school’s focus on providing a broad educational experience that allows pupils whether they are aged 3 or 13, the freedom to give everything a go.
Senior schools compliment Kingshott pupils on their fine work ethic, outstanding manners, desire to achieve their best and excellent academic foundations.
Staff Support and Development
We offer all our staff excellent professional development opportunities and guidance, with a strong CPD programme.
