Australia Day in Year 2
Australia Day
Year 2 had a fantastic time during their Australia Day on Thursday with a range of creative and cultural activities. The children enjoyed Aboriginal storytelling sessions. They also explored the sounds of the didgeridoo and worked together to create their own piece of music, showing great teamwork and creativity.
In the art based activities the children used dot painting techniques to design their own didgeridoos, created silhouette artwork, and painted stones inspired by the Great Barrier Reef. It was a fun and engaging day that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
