Kingshott U11 Girls Football team - Belmont football festival champions
Kingshott U11 Girls Football team - Belmont football festival champions.
Our U11 team, combining Year 5 and Year 6 players attended the Belmont Football festival on Friday 20th March.
After a strong start in the group stages with a 4-0-win confidence was high. With another 4 group games to go, the girls continued to grow, linking up well and using their speed to eliminate players, scoring over 15 goals. The team were strong in defence and didn't concede a goal during the whole tournament.
Their toughest game came in their final group game, a must win game to finish the group first and secure a place in the final. An outstanding team goal was enough to secure the victory. The final game was end to end and the Kingshott team finished the tournament in 1st place.
Well done to all the girls and a huge thank you to our parent supporters and Mr Ayres for leading the team.
