Inter House Cross Country
On Tuesday 24th March, Kingshott held the House Cross Country competition and Fun Run. The weather was perfect for cross country – dry, not too warm and with a little wind.
Reception to Year 2 children were the first to race, supported by the sports scholars. After lunch, it was the turn of the Year 3 to 10 students.
There were a number of competitive races, with strong performances from all year groups. Medals were earned for placing in the first 3 in each year group. The Cross Country Shield was eventually lifted by Parks House, in a closely fought battle, with Pankhurst finishing second.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Fun Run, which saw strong participation across all year groups, with some amazing costumes on show.
As always, all Kingshott pupils ran with confidence and ambition, demonstrating the Kingshott values.
Thanks go to the PE staff for coordinating the event, and, in particular, Mrs Woodgate for organising .
