It was an absolute delight to welcome our Nursery students into the Food and Nutrition room this week. We focused on the importance of healthy eating, and our youngest learners rolled up their sleeves to create vibrant, delicious fruit kebabs.
The session was made even more special by the help of our Year 10 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students. Seeing the "top and bottom" of the school collaborating so naturally was a highlight of the half term; our seniors showed wonderful leadership and patience as they mentored their younger peers.
"I was incredibly impressed by the focus of our Nursery pupils and the kindness shown by our Year 10s. Seeing the school family come together to celebrate healthy choices was truly heart warming. It was a lovely morning of learning and community spirit." - Mr. Lewis, Head of Food and Nutrition.
