Alumna Becca Scott Returns to Kingshott

We welcomed back former Kingshott pupil and para‑athlete Becca Scott. Becca, who is currently training and competing at national level, generously found time in her demanding schedule to return to the school where her sporting journey first began.

During her visit, Becca spoke fondly about her time at Kingshott, recalling the early encouragement she received in sport and the friendships that helped shape her confidence and determination. She shared how the skills she developed here, resilience, perseverance and a love of healthy competition remain vital to her ongoing athletic career.

Since leaving Kingshott, Becca has achieved remarkable success on the national stage. She won silver medals in both the Para Long Jump and the Para 100m at the National School Games. She has also continued to excel in sprinting, earning a bronze medal in the Women’s 60m Para Sprint Final at the UK Athletics Indoor Championships, setting a new personal best of 8.49 seconds.

Becca’s outstanding performances have led to her selection for prestigious talent pathways. Earlier in her career, she was also invited to join the GB Para Athletics Programme, training with national coaches and developing her long‑jump and sprinting specialisms with future Paralympic ambitions in mind.

Becca reflected on the determination required to balance study, training and competition, encouraging them to embrace opportunities, work hard and believe in their potential. Her warmth, humility and passion for sport made her an inspiring role model for our current cohort.

We are incredibly proud of everything Becca has achieved and grateful for her continued connection to Kingshott. Her journey is a testament to what can be accomplished through dedication, confidence and the strong foundations built during her time at school. We look forward to following her progress as she continues to pursue excellence in para-athletics.
